Cinnamon Mango Salsa
Description
This refreshing tropical spring recipe has a South Asian influence, and is ultra-healthy. Mango is known as the "king of fruits," in part due to its immune-boosting qualities and many other health benefits. You can make this salsa with any fruits of your choice and use it in tacos, as a dip, or paired with rice and beans.
Ingredients
2 cup
mango 1 cup
pineapple 1 cup
white onion 1 cup
bell pepper 1 cup
white radish or jicama (optional) 1 cup
cilantro 1⁄2 cup
basil 1
jalepeno pepper or thai chili 1 cup
vinegar 1
lime, juiced 2 clove
garlic, minced 1 tbsp
ground cinnamon 1 1⁄2 tsp
ground cardamom 1 1⁄2 tsp
ground cuminInstructions
Chop fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs, and stir together in a large bowl.
Mince garlic and chilis, add to the fruit mixture, then thoroughly mix in vinegar, spices, and lime juice.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
